I loved this Regan! 3 really interesting pieces of work, especially ‘Leg’! I equally was on a real memoir kick last year, this year it has been heavily dominated by fiction for some reason! I want to try and make more space for it again, so I’ll get hold of ‘Leg’ to kick start it. Thank you for your words xx
I hope you love Leg and can’t wait to hear what you think! I met Greg briefly at a reading when the book came out, and he was as kind and hilarious in person as he is in his essays —do you have any favorites you’d recommend from your memoir kick last year??
I’d recommend ‘What is Mine’ by Jose Henrique Bortoluci, which I read in May this year but it was SO good! From last year; ‘Solito’ by Javier Zamora, ‘How to say Babylon’ by Safia Sinclair and ‘Between Two Kingdoms’ by Suleika Jaoud if you haven’t already read! ‘I Cried to Dream Again’ by Sara Kruzan is also really impressive if it seems like something you’d like to read!! xxx
i love Constructing a Nervous System. Excited to explore your other recs!
It's easily one of the most unique works of nonfiction I've read!
