I’m trying to only read women in trans for my trans this month - I’ve just finished ‘The Summer Book’ and starting ‘The Simple Art of Killing A Woman’ by Patricia Melo. The cover is gorgeous & I’m really excited for it!

Yes it does exclusively feel like a book you can only read in the summer. After finishing it today, I think reading it in any other season would be weird!
LOVE siblings—definitely a less grueling read compared to kairos!! Although I am a fan of just about anything set in the GDR; I am so eager to read more from Reimann! Stillllll haven’t picked up The Summer Book —I think I know I’ll really love it and so I’m putting it off so it won’t possibly disappoint me? But I’ll get around to it when the time is right!
It really is! And I forgot to mention it in the post, but Scattered is the first in a trilogy by Tawada following the same characters— Suggested in the Stars is set for pub this October, and the final book, Archipelago of the Sun, for 2025!

Yes I thought Kairos was over complicated in general 😏
I discovered in my local library in Kerry last year and really loved it. It's much better than Kairos. Also adored The Summer Book, nod to Martha 👌
